Merging Hearts has a wealth of knowledge within our membership and we'd like to put that to good use. We are now offering free classes led by our own members as they share their knowledge and expertise with others in a relaxed, easy-going format. Topics will last for one month and each month a new series of classes will be held. Classes will be held Sunday mornings at 9:00 am before Enlightened Beings. Due to popular demand, instead of two classes running concurrently, there will be one class with a different topic each month and each class lasting four Sundays.

Wake Up To Wicca: An Introduction to the Wiccan Wheel of the Year, Part 1
Presented by Priestess Lisa Maxey of Midnight Moon Ministries Wicca is an Earth-centered, nature-based religion which honors and utilizes the various cycles of our daily lives. The Wiccan Wheel of the Year is one such cycle and is comprised of eight Sabbats or holy days that naturally occur within a 12 month period. The celebration and honoring of these events marks “the turning of the Wheel” and provides an avenue in which we can more easily relate and feel connected to the world in which we live. In these four sessions, we will examine and discuss the first four Sabbats of the year which are Imbolc, Ostara (Spring Equinox), Beltane (May Day) and Litha (Summer Solstice). Part 2 of the series will feature Lughnassadh (Lammas), Mabon (Fall Equinox), Samhain (Halloween) and Yule (Winter Solstice) and will be offered sometime after summer. Blessed Be!

The Dao
The Tao Te Ching (pronounced and written in modern Chinese as Dao De Jing) was written in China roughly 2,500 years ago at about the same time when Buddha expounded the Dharma in India and Pythagoras taught in Greece. The Tao Te Ching is probably the most influential Chinese book of all times. Its 81 chapters have been translated into English more times than any other Chinese document.
The Tao Te Ching provides the basis for the philosophical school of Taoism, which is an important pillar of Chinese thought. Taoism teaches that there is one undivided truth at the root of all things. It literally means:
